Information about Commissions
In order for a commission to happen, you must contact me either by phone at 213-718-0469, or by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. It can take up to twenty-four hours for me to respond. When contacting me about commissions, these are the two criteria that must be communicated: First, the client must communicate to me about the subject of the commission piece. Second, the client must express to me about the size of the commission piece. What I will then do is combine the subject and the size of the commission, and then multiply the length times the height, times two, and add twenty percent in addition to Colorado state tax. All of this added together makes up the full price of a commissioned piece. Not only that, but clients will also have to pay for shipping. Shipping prices are based on the size of the painting. Once we know the size, we can then estimate the shipping cost. Not only that, but I would also build boxes for the paintings that will be shipped. Based upon the wants or needs a of a client, a client can either purchase multiple commissions at once, or a client can purchase commissions on an individual basis. Remember that, for every commission that a client buys, you must pay half of the total cost of the commission price up front, and the rest upon completion. I only tend to communicate with clients at beginning and at the end of the commission process. Even though, this is how I like to approach the commission process, clients are always more than welcome to contact me throughout. If clients are ever curious about my commission progress, clients can always follow my Instagram or Twitter accounts to see my work. I am always available for emergencies, issues, or concerns regarding any of my commissioned pieces. Despite everything though, I do have a forty-eight hour cancelation policy for cancelling commissions. Please try to be considerate about this. The reason why I have a very specific cancellation policy is because there are a lot of different factors that go into my commission process. There is a lot of time that gets spent between when the commission was assigned versus the actual time it takes to bring a commissioned piece to life. Something to keep in mind is that all of my paintings are oil based, which means that there is a longer drying time. I can negotiate deadlines with clients, but I cannot negotiate my cancellation policy what so ever. There will be a cancellation fee for clients who do not follow the cancellation policy. Payments for commissions can be made by Credit Cards, PayPal, and Venmo. If a client does not wish to pay with Credit Cards, PayPal, and Venmo, a client can also pay for commissioned pieces through my Etsy store. I am open and flexible to suggestions, comments, and opinions regarding painted commissions amongst clients. If I have a suggestion, comment, or a concern, I will communicate directly with the client during the commission process.
